I remember reading once that "beautiful design was invisible".
When I see what the duo Hi, from Switzerland, has been doing in editorial (mainly), I must agree. Simple, elegant and somehow astonishing. And I simply can't explain why.

Has anyone seen that? A beautiful animation over an interview that a 14-year-old Beatles fanatic named Jerry Levitan made with John Lennon. Apparently, it was also nominated for an Oscar for "Best Animated Short" at the 2008 Academy Awards.

The beautiful of today is this pixel art 3.2 x 2.1 meter of Astro Boy using 138,000 recycled metro tickets made at the Shinjuku Takashimaya Department Store in Tokyo. It was made by 2 volunteers and betting is open: how long do you think that took?
