Helgeland

June 23, 2008 – 11:33 am

I am currently working on a logo and a profile for one of the tourist organizations of Helgeland, the most southerly district in the area known as North Norway.

Helgeland is full of tiny flat islands, with extreme exceptions, as the mountains known as Seven Sisters. The Vega archipelago is an Unesco World heritage as representative of “the way generations of fishermen/farmers have, over the past 1,500 years, maintained a sustainable living in an inhospitable seascape near the Arctic Circle, based on the now unique practice of harvesting.”

The place is beautiful. I am working so the logo also can be.

  2. Hey Renata!

We met at the Petter Dass-museum yesterday - hope everything went ok today. I stumbled across a link to your web page in one of the emails from nhis, and have been surfing through some of it tonight. Must say: I really like your work! I’ll try to keep up with what happens next in the fantasticHelgeland project, and also on your blog and other work!
